Advantages: yum, Yum, YUM!

Disadvantages: Pah

Many of us would agree that Baileys is yum, yes? Now what if I were to say to you that I could get you something very like Baileys, if not better, for much cheaper, yes?

As far as I know Country Cream is only available in Asda, as it claims to be specially selected for them in Holland (and I thought it was an Irish whiskey liqueur?!). It is as I have mentioned an Irish whisky liqueur made with cream. In fact it is simply a cheap copy of Baileys, but with a few subtle differences, which make it a better buy.

For a start there is the price. A large bottle of country cream costs the same as a small bottle of Baileys. This simply means you get more for your money, which no one can complain about! Then there is the fact that it tastes better. This is of course matter of opinion, but that’s what Dooyoo is here for. I find country cream a lot less harsh than Baileys and much smoother. The whisky taste is much more muted, which I prefer, as I don’t actually like whisky! And don’t say well you cant like baileys, because I know plenty of people who are the same, most of whom I have fed country cream to and they have been as pleased as me with it.

Put it this way. If you served Country Cream at a party, and told people it was baileys I don’t think there would be any complaints. In fact there would probably be compliments, and moans of joy as people experienced the heaven of country cream sliding past their tonsils with ease. All in all it is a yummy, great value drink which can be drunk straight, on the rocks or with coffee (but never with citrus). Perfect for all occasions!
