I think everyone should drink Whisky how they enjoy it. If you like it neat, drink it neat, if you like it with coke, drink it with coke. --Balvenie Doublewood 12yro-- The Balvenie Distillery is situated below Balvenie castle just on the river Spey in a place called Dufftown in the North East of Scotland. The distillery was founded by William Grant and was started to be built the autumn of 1886 and in 1892 started distilling Whisky. The Balvenie Doublewood 12yro is as it sounds. It is a 12 year old single malt Whisky that has been left to age in two different types of cask. The first cask is the traditional oak cask that has previously been used for bourbon and the second cask is a Spanish oak first fill sherry cask.
