This is the national drink of Scotland, in my opinion anyway and I'm sure for alot of other people aswell. And since I am Scottish and live in Scotland I drink a whole lot of this brillaint orange drink. First produced in 1901, with a fair bit of mystery surrounding it because of special ingredients. One of which had to be revealed. I'm pretty sure it was a very tiny amount of alcohol.

This brand of soft drink is also quite popular for their ad campaigns which are usually quite strange.

*****Availability*****

In Scotland Irn-Bru is available just about every shop, resteraunt or bar you go into. In England I'm pretty sure it's available in just about evety shop and in a large majority of bars and resteraunts.
I'm not sure about the rest of the Uk, because I haven't visited. I'm sure someone can fill me in.
In Europe however it is a different case. It is not as easily found, but popularity is increasing. I always have to track down a shop selling Irn-Bru while I'm abroad.

*****Variety*****

Both Irn-Bru and the diet version come in the usual sized bottles and cans (2 litre bottles, 330ml cans, etc)
What I have found is that the smaller bottles (250ml) are less fizzy and have slightly less taste.
There is/was an Irn-Bru 32 drink. I never tried this after many of the people who had tried it weren't too impressed. Its purpose was to rival Red Bull.

*****Taste*****

This is going to be a small section of the review. I have no idea what it tastes like. It doesn't taste like any fruits and doesn't compare to anything else I've evr drunk or eaten. All I can say is that it's delicious (can that be used to describe a drink ?).

*****Overall*****

This has to be my favourite drink. I'm currently going through a Pepsi stage, but eventually Irn-Bru will be my numer one drink.

The only downpoint is that if you spill it somewhere it will take a lot of cleaning to get it out. So watch out when you open a new bottle for the first time, it will generally explode because of all the fizz.

Would recommend to anyone who likes fizzy drinks but has never tried it. 10/10

I liked the slogans that Irn Bru used "Bru'd in Scotland from girders" and "Scotland's other National Drink".

I haven't had any of this for years. Glad to know it's now in diet version. Think it will be on this week's hit list! Thanks.

I'm partial to a wee vodka and Diet Irn Bru from time to time ;-) Caroline xx
