Barr's Irn-Bru made in Scotland from girders!

Its one of the advertising slogans i remember so well from my childhood. The main ingrediant is unknown and that just makes it even better. How would you describe the taste? Theres nothing like it, it seems to be fizzier than any other drink, its sweet and best served cold.

I think it has changed slightly over the years but more with what type of bottles it comes in and belive it or not this effects the taste. Its best bought in the glass bottles and drunk straight from the fridge. Also you dont see it in many places nowadays but the draught Irn-Bru is great.

When i was a boy my dad always had a bottle sitting in the car and i have many memories as a kid collecting the old glass bottles to get a 10p deposit back which was always spent on sweets or more Irn-Bru.

I have seen it recentlly on my holidays to Portugal and Gran Canaria and paid through the odds to but it but it never tastes the mame, i'm not sure why. What a drink
