Here goes...Tange's write up of a fine Mild: Batemans Dark Mild! Before I tell you about the beer itself, I really ought to give you a bit of background information about this particular style of beer. Some of you have probably never even tasted a mild (shame on you!)! ~~~~WHAT IS MILD? This type of drink is actually pretty similar to a bitter in a number of respects. It was very popular a number of years ago and was once one of the most drunk styles of ale in Great Britain.
