I've already mentioned Bear Beer quite a bit in recent reviews, so far I've maligned it generally but 4.9% is the one that can get away with being bland. A common feature in Bear Beers seems to be the fact that they don't go out of their way to make it taste interesting - the strong ones clearly taste of the added alcohol and the weaker ones aren't wild when it comes to flavours either.
