I do a fair amount of Beer reviews - I'm not entirely sure how to handle this category, so I'm just going to go with the flow and see what happens ! Firstly, a little bit about my drinking history . When I was a youngster, say 8 or 9 years old, my dad would often relax of an evening with a couple of cans of Strongbow cider, and would ... Read the complete review

I always used to just drink Carling, which I am not having a go at, but just explaining how I used to be, the beers I drank were limited, maybe due to being a student and wanting value for money, maybe out of a self deluded phalacy that it was the best, or prehaps a view that as it was served everywhere, it was the safe option - who knows. ... Angied0: For 11 years I was a publican running various pubs in London. The one thing that never failed to amaze me was the amount of beer men (and some women!) could consume. The only difference was that the ladies seemed to have to make several more trips to the loo, must be some biological reason for that?! Misslook: I worked ... Read the complete review

Inebriated - what an elegant word that is. Unfortunately the state that it describes is far from elegant. Drunk (as a skunk), intoxicated, tipsy; all words that paint a rather mischievous picture of the state of inebriation. Me, I prefer the slang words that paint the real picture. Blootered, pissed, rat-assed even. Y'see, I'm a down to ... Read the complete review

Tuesday night was my first time in over twenty years that’s a long time to go without I can tell you and yet it has been through my own choice! It started of boring but then a man in a black shirt came over and offered me a beer it was newcastle brown ale, I had never took a beer before but I took that one. I read an article recently about GM lager and the potential problems involved with it. As a very basic and un-informed view point I can only suggest that it is down to taste as well as ethics. On the one side there is the argument concerning the consumption of GM products and on the other there is a taste value. As a dedicated beer drinker I feel ... Read the complete review

Where is the catagory for Lagers? Imagine my suprise when I clicked on 'Food and Drink', to find the lager missing. Has anyone seen my lager? I only left it for a second! Surely lager is more important than beer in a young person's life. Are you aware that such a liquid exists? That golden performance of dancing bubbles, ... Read the complete review

Now let me tell you this. Wandering in cold fields the wind blew the green grass in the dark night. Heaven was open and the bright guiding stars flickered like candel light in a dark room. On my way to nowhere I walked into two young ladies. The blonde one was called Beer, the dark one Lager. We talked and they told me a story. "Now ... Read the complete review
