I usually buy my bottled water from tesco (own brand sparkling water) but i was passing Aldi on my way home and remembered i needed some milk, and of course i came out with an arm full of stuff i did not need! including a bottle of Belight (Aqueo) sparkling orange and passionfruit spring water, Oh and they only had semi skimmed milk so i ended up getting that from the corner shop!
Same style bottle as most supermarket own brand 1Lt bottles of water, the plastic is shaded blue and feels a little thinner then tesco's so a bit wobbly and not so easy to hold when pouring, it has a sealed screw on cap which is colour coded for different flavours and is recyclable.
The plastic label which is also colour coded for different flavour es wraps round the main body of the bottle and bares the name Aqueo ( the brand name "Beight" is tucked away to the side of the label) a bar across the bottom of the label shows the nutritional information/daily intake and declares the contents free from artificial colour/flavour and gluten free, the back of the label has a full nutritional chart, a "specially packed for Aldi" Logo, ingredients list ( contains 2% fruit juice) and directions for use!! lol
Opened with a nice Shhhhh...... nice and lively and looks nice and sparkly and refreshing in the glass, on tasting i thought the bubbles were a bit fine or small, lots of them but it did not quite bite the back of your thought, the flavour was about right orangey and passionfruity! but tasted a little bit perfumey to if you get what i mean!
It stayed fizzy in the glass for a long time after it was poured and still tasted ok, and the rest of the bottle has kept it's fizz to
At only 33p for a 1 lt bottle
Nice fizzy refreshing cold drink which is far cheaper and better for you then Cola/pop
not quite as good as Tesco but i would buy it if i was in Aldi
If you usually drink/give your kids pop you should try this as an alternative as it only has 20 calories per Lt
