The name black sheep conjures up images of a rural heritage, possibly with a windswept moor in the background, and an individual, distinctive kind of product - one that's perhaps broken the mould. The Black Sheep brewery was set up by Paul Theakston, from the very famous Theakston brewing family (it's been in his blood for 5 ... Read the complete review

I couldn't stay off the subject of beer for long, so here is my opinion on Black Sheep Ale. I'm a bit of a Real Ale fanatic, so I feel I am pretty well qualified to give my view of this very tasty beer. It's difficult to get a really good bottled ale and it's refreshing to say that I have found one here. The Black Sheep ... Read the complete review

Well, take my last op for example, A fabulous little number entitled Adopt a Seal. Well, I had several of you contact me saying ?How much Sir??, and all that type of thing. WRONG. It was just a funny title that had ... Read the complete review

Yes, I must tell others about this. I am not an ale drinker favouring more the grain in a good single malt whisky. I did drink ale in my youth when 19 to 25ish though and did enjoy the flavour. Nowdays I have the rare half pint only when I am wanting a quenching drink, usually Tetleys or something like that. Well, this weekend was ... Read the complete review

I didn't have to go to work today, or yesterday for that matter. A two day holiday taken at short notice. When is this country going to recognise the needs of parents with young children who develop rashes overnight? We have to babysit - I can't send him into school with a rash and Mrs O was meant to be standing in for a teacher today, ... Read the complete review

The first year at my college was quite bizarre, when college finished we'd honestly go straight to the pub. Every single day, not just Fridays but every single day. The majority of my friends preferred tipple was Black Sheep so moving from my staple diet of Guinness, Cafferys and Carlsberg I thought I'd give it ago. Before the ... Read the complete review

Black Sheep Ale. This the session ale from the black sheep brewery at Masham(cheers Magpie) and it is a rather fine ale too. As with all the ales from the brewery its a real ale which means its not pasturised (unless you buy the bottles of course). This is a very smooth ale and has a very fruity taste and a nice aftertaste too. I ... Read the complete review
