 ... I was very disappointed. When you open the packet and when you make it up, you can REALLY smell the mix of coffee and chocolate - it smells divine! But like so many speciality fruit teas on the market, the smell is far stronger than the taste. I found that the coffee taste was the most powerful and it was a pretty bitter coffee taste. This would be ok if it was diluted by chocolate but there was hardly any chocolate taste at all - let alone a double chocolate taste! I guess I prefer my mochas to be mainly choco...more

We bought loads of Boaters flavoured instant coffees a while ago when a local shop have a massive selection for only a pound a jar. They are usually a lot more than this. I am going to review them all as they are a bit hit and miss. There are over 40 flavours of Boaters available. Their website is www.boaters.co.uk and offer free postage and packing on orders over £40. I think it would make a good gift hamper for a coffee lover to select a load of different flavours as a present. They are currently £2.35 for 50 gram jars of the flavoured instant coffees. I purchased this coffee after having tried the instant hazelnut and also the filter vanilla flavoured varieties of this coffee and enjoying them. What can I say, I like my coffee! I like it dark and potent after dinner, or smooth and creamy in the afternoon, but generally over in the States had come to take for granted the availability of flavoured coffee on tap, so jump at the chance to have it here when I can. Double chocolate flavoured coffee brings to mind mocha, yum! Upon opening this and giving it a good sniff, it smells...vaguely cocoa-esque? Not very pungent.
