The Cream of Manchester (Boddingtons Bitter)
Member Name: adambrown400
Advantages: Great when cold Disadvantages: Horrible when warm
Boddington's ale has been going for over two hundred years and is adevertised using the tagline 'The Cream of Manchester' in a series of adverts with Mel Sykes in the early 90's. The most obvious thing about Boddington's is its large white head when poured, giving the impression that it has a creamy head. In the advert a 99 flake was stuck in the top like an ice cream. Summary: Inexpensive, relatively weak ale. |
