Boddington's ale has been going for over two hundred years and is adevertised using the tagline 'The Cream of Manchester' in a series of adverts with Mel Sykes in the early 90's. The most obvious thing about Boddington's is its large white head when poured, giving the impression that it has a creamy head. In the advert a 99 flake was stuck in the ... Read the complete review

Boddingtons was once promoted as the cream of Manchester is now the cream of almost anywhere and is sold in over thirty countries. Having initially started out as a lager drinker on leaving school, I made a career move into the more sensible field of bitter some years later and have remained so to this day. Although I will confess ... Read the complete review

Well, that is what the adverts used to say, only now the lovely Boddington's bitter is made in a brewery in Magor, It is ran by Inbev, which is a name derived from Interbrew and AmBev when they merged, this company makes a huge range of beers. The Boddingtons ad agency want you to understand that this is a "creamy" beer, so their current crop of TV ads make use of a cow (albeit with a bloke's voice - what's that all about?) to emphasise the idea. Unfortunately, although it tastes smooth, the container of liquid in question doesn't actually taste much of ... Read the complete review

Boddingtons what a sense of heaven, To me a tall, chilled glass of frosty Boddingtons is more than a Beer. It is a gateway or portal to a dimension or place in which a feeling of relief and safety exists in an omnipresent manor from the hostile forces of the outside world, especially ... Boddingtons is a lovely smooth bitter. It won't leave your taste buds feeling they've been assaulted - Advantages: Gorgeously Smooth, Not too Bitter as to taste disgusting - Disadvantages: Might be too bland for strong bitter drinkers

If you're wondering what grog is, it's Australia's slang for alcohol. I started using this word a lot, when I became a Prisoner Cell Block H fan. I'm a big Boddingtons fan, and I thought it might be interesting to research how Boddingtons came about. Of course, my own personal view will also be included. The ... Read the complete review

Boddingtons is a bit unusual for a bitter - although it is a nice drink it advertises itself more like a lareger than a bitter. Bitter is an old man's drink, let's be honest, but the adverts for Boddingtons tend to be funnier than you`d expect. Not hilarious, but they make you sit up and take notice. Anyway, enough about the adverts - ... Read the complete review

Boddington's is a bitter which has entered the folklore history of the industry due an extremely clever, humourous advertising campaign which has brought it many of the industry's top awards. But what is it like as a drink - does it live up to all the hype? Well...damn good and yes it does are the answers! Boddingtons is a smooth ... Read the complete review
