Bollinger Grand Annee Brut ... average 95% of the grapes come from the Premiers and Grands Crus villages. Each wine is individually fermented in oak casks prior to blending.
On average, the blend is composed of 65% pinot noir and 35% chardonnay.
The "Grande Annee" always ages for a minimum of five years in its bottle, magnum or jeroboam corked with a traditional cork.

Those who've read some of my other opinions may have gathered that I'm a bit of a Champagne fan, but until recently, I'd never tried anything from possibly the most famous Champagne house - Bollinger. I'd been told that Bollinger champagne is one of the best you'll ever taste, but I took it with a pinch of salt, as it's more expensive than most other champagnes I like, such as Lansons and Veuve Cliquot, and I'd always been quite happy sticking with those.
