Advantages: Tastes good, isn't too expensive, Caffine free, NO sugar. Good for dieting
Disadvantages: Quite addictive!
7 Up Free.
This is a soft drink by Britvic, very similar to another soft drink called Sprite. It's a natural lemon and lime flavoured soft drink but in a diet form (hence the Free). Compared to the original 7 Up, this has significantly less sugar in comparison and is an awful lot better for you.
The taste is very much similar to regular 7 Up, just there is less sugar and more sweeteners which is better for your body and your poor liver. I prefer to drink 7 Up free instead of the regular 7 Up purely because of the sugar content, it leaves your teeth feeling very coated in sugar and isn't a nice feeling. I also feel very sorry for my liver having to process all that sugar and break it down, diabetics stay well away from regular 7 Up. However with 7 Up free, I don't feel as guilty as it's much healthier.
Cost wise? It costs between 40p-80p for a 330ml can depending on where you shop, and 80p-£1.80 for a 2 litre bottle depending where you shop. The bottle/cans are green with the big white 7 Up Logo on it so it's quite hard to miss.
Another good point that goes for 7 Up is it is caffine free. I personally am caffine intollerant and cannot have other soft drinks such as Coca-Cola, Dr Pepper etc because of the caffine. 7 Up fixes that problem as i can drink something with a nice taste to it, and without any caffine. It is also preservative and colouring free which an extra bonus for keeping your body in good health.
7 Up free is also good for dieting, if your sick of water you can drink this soft drink without having to feel very guilty at all. For a 250ml glass there are only 5 calories and no sugar.
7 Up Free does have a different taste to Sprite, but if you do like Sprite, you'll probably like 7 Up. I know I do.
Summary: Overall a very nice soft drink, good for caffine intollerance and tastes good

- 14/01/09 I think some would disagree that sweeteners are healthier than sugar there are some real scare stories about sweeteners out there. |
