Advantages: A good quality water
Disadvantages: Rubbish lid for spots and fitness fans!
What can you possibly write about about a bottled water?! Well quite a bit actually, particularly when you drink so many of them as I do!
In my case water comes out of my taps tasting of chlorine and once sploshed into a cup or mug or whatever our water is white and you can visibly see dirty looking particles! It does settles after a minute or so but it is off putting and of course I could invest in a water filter but to be honest I can't be bothered with the messing about and would rather buy it chilled and stuff and read to go!
The Packaging....
500ml clear plastic bottle with a white label to it's middle, an embossed 'water' splattered pattern to the top of the bottle and a navy blue plastic screw on/off lid to the top of it. On the front of the label I'm told it is 100% crisp British spring water 'Drench'. On the back of the bottle I'm given typical values (of what it contains), the best before date is stamped on, I'm told how to store it (store it in the fridge and consume within 3 days), contact details for Britvic are given (the manufacturers of the product) ad finally there is a bar-code on there. It's a nice enough, simple but basic bottle however I'd not like the stupid screw on/off lid that comes with it! I and alot of other people buy water for the the gym and stuff and it's right annoying!
The Water....
Well what can I say? As promised it is clean tasting, fresh and with no hint of chemicals to it at all. I find alot of bottled spring waters to have a slight tinny taste to the them...this really doesn't. Of course being water it is refreshing and rejuvenating and this leaves no odd after taste or anything like that. It simply is a purified, flat water enriched with calcium, magnesium and potassium which are all things our bodies need! Personally I'm low on potassium and there's only so many bananas a gal can eat trust me lol so anywhere else I can get some input from without trying is gratefully received!
This tends to be cheaper as a rule than many leading brands and expect to pay about 39p a bottle though Wilkinson's tends to usually have this on offer at 2 bottles for 40p more often than not! A great buy, shame about the flipping lid/cap Britvic!
Summary: A cheap hydrater!

- 16/07/09 Our water up North doesn't taste of chlorine but the other night whilst out my drink tasted of chlorine and the only thing that I could put it down to were the ice cubes!! Great review as always :-) |
