Advantages: not as sweet as competitors

Disadvantages: acquired taste

At work we had a sales woman come to see us to sell some of thier goods. She left us with some samples and one of these was a blackcurrant flavour bottle of Gatorade.

Gatorade i feel is the American competition to Lucozade. The point of the drink is to replinesh the nutrients that you lose in sweat and burn up during exercise. It is aimed at the fitness industry.

*Design and Packaging*

This bottle is clear so you can see the juice that is in it. Being blackcurrant it was a purple colour. The bottle has a sleek modern shape to it with the Gatorade name embossed into it. It comes with a sports cap which is easy to open and close. This design is to make it easier to drink from the bottle while on the move. The sports cap is covered by a bottle top to stop the cap getting dirty before purchase. This is easy to push off.

There is a label which wraps around the upper half of the bottle. This shows the brand name with a lightning bolt design flowing through it. The label identifies the flavour, what the drink is made for and does, and nutritional values.

*Taste*

I felt this drink had a very distinct taste. Its hard to describe but if you were to drink it again without a label you would know its Gatorade straight off. It leaves a little after taste which isn't a bad thing if you enjoy the flavour of it. It is quite sweet but doesn't taste as sugary or sickening as drinks like Powerade or Lucozade. I think though that you will either like it or not.
