I did favour pepsi but ethically not anymore

Advantages: Tastes good, Asda often do them on offer
Disadvantages: Ethically wrong practices in research.
Pepsi vs Coca Cola, its the age old question. I can definitly tell the difference between the two- Pepsi is more sugary and coca cola has a sharper taste. Standard brand coke doesnt do it for me I'm afraid so it always has to be one of the other.
My Mother wasnt the most health concious Mum and I was brought up on Coca Cola so you'd think I like that more.
My boyfriend is also more of a Pepsi fan so if I am buying a fizzy drink I'll usually go for that, unless Coca Cola is cheaper of course!
Pepsi is more associated with blue (in the way that Coca Cola is associated with red). It has a circle logo with 3 segments which are red, white and blue. Pepsi have a variety of versions of their drink e.g. lemon, max etc. I heard they are set to be releasing a new drink called Pepsi One (which makes me smile considering there is a Coke Zero.... Coke Zero, Pepsi One).
While Pepsi are steadily making themselves as popular as Coke I don't think they're quite there yet. I mean Coca Cola are the ones who invented Santa in a red suit, before that he was always pictured in green. They changed Santa worldwide, that- I think- is impressive!
I recently read a status which led me to a googlefest about Pepsi using aborted fetuses in their drink. This isnt entirely true. What they are however doing is using a cell derived from aborted fetuses in research. Apparantly it enhances flavour. So whilst you are not drinking it I still think its completly ethically wrong. I haven't bought Pepsi since, I'm not sure I will. Some people can just say "If it tastes good who cares" but thinking about the disgustingness of what they have been doing I feel would leave a bitter taste in my mouth. I'll knock off one star for that although I feel I'd rather knock off more!
If you do choose to enjoy Pepsi i find its best served in a big glass, with ice cubes and in the summer. Pepsi is much like coke in the more you have it the more you want it, I believe that is the caffeine. I crave a Pepsi or Coke drink the most after eating a carb filled meal such as Pizza. I'm not sure if this is because of the amount you are likely to have a Coke drink with a fast food meal or at a restaurant or something else but my boyfriend is the same.
Pepsis prices vary. Asda very often do them on offer for £1 for a 2L bottle.
Summary: Tastes better than Coke but obviously not happy with their research methods.
