Disadvantages: Aquired taste and high sugar
Purdey's. My dad first introduced me to Purdeys and I first thought it was an old fashioned drink, sorta the old man stereotype drink, but it turns out it's a new wave of energy drink, but different. It works on vitimins and not the boring box standard caffine.
The taste is rather sweet, but it also has a 'malty' taste, similar to the smell of Multi-Vitimins.
Price wise, I always thought it was quite expensive due to the bottle being made of glass, why they don't replace it with a can or plastic bottles I don't know. When I used to see them in the supermarkets a few years ago they were well over £1 a bottle. Today I saw one in Tesco and paid 50p because I quite like the taste that I would usually tell my friends it's strange and they probably won't like it.
It's fairly healthy and quite good for you, caffine free and full of vitimins and minerals. Reccomended for people in need of energy and glucose but with a caffine intolerance. The only down side is the sugar content is rather high, which I would have thought was fructose from the fruit ingredients, however it is glucose. It also contains Vitimin B2 which is excellent for your metabolism.
It looks healthy and tastes quite healthy, the other downside is the sugar content. At 330ml with 22g of sugar, this makes it a little unhealthy. Some of the sugar you can forgive due to the fruit content, but the rest is a little unforgivable.
Summary: If you like energy drinks but worried about the health implacations, this is a better alternative!
