Advantages: Taste!

Disadvantages: None if you like sugar in drinks!

I am a huge fan of lemonade and in particular I love R Whites Diet Lemonade. However I've been working out more (at the gym) and dropped off consuming 'diet' stuff because I have to eat loads to keep my weight up! So the other day I picked up a bottle of this (2L) priced at £1.29 a bottle in my local Sainsburys to try!

The Packaging....

As I said I have a 2L bottle which is clear plastic with a blue screw on/off lid/cap to the top of it. Round the middle of it, it has a yellow and green striped label and on that I'm told it's R Whites 'Est 1845' Premium Lemonade 'Which is made with real lemons' and on the bottom of the bottle there is an at a glance nutritional chart. On the back of the bottle I'm given a list of ingredients, a full nutritional breakdown chart is show, contact details for R Whites are given, the size is stated and finally there is a bar-code on there. Nice looking, good quality bottle this is!

The Drink...

Clear and like water to look at, it's sparkling carbonated soft drink (opposed to heavily fizzy) lemonade. It smells of lemons and not only that it tastes of them too!

Refreshing and nicely sweet...this is. Although I'm used to consuming diet drinks I actually don't find this too sugary at all and I do like the loss of sweeteners in my usual drinks because this is crisp and clean on the taste-buds.

It does go flat once poured however, particularly in the heat we're having at the moment and I found that although I stored my bottle in the fridge, once opened it lasted about 3 days in the freshness stakes. This in my view is best served chilled (and/or with ice), is a great mixer and I do like the natural sugar content and the slightly sour lemony tang it has! A great drink, full of quality and by far my favourite brand of lemonade on the market at the moment!
