Advantages: Tasty, Refreshing, Packed with Vitamins and Low Calories

Disadvantages: None

I've been really impressed with Robinson's Fruit and Barley drinks and am a bit surprised to see a bit of negative feedback about it. I think there's something really new and different about it that I just can't get from any other drink on the market at the moment.

Fruit & Barley is available in most supermarkets I think but I get mine from Tesco where it costs £1.26 for a 1lt bottle. That is quite expensive for a squash I know, but I think it's well worth it. What you get isn't just an ordinary squash but a squash taste with a fruit juice texture.

I find that this stuff has a lovely strong flavour to it whichever flavour you opt for (though Peach is my favourite). The thick, fruity texture slides down my throat nicely and I find that it's especially refreshing when made up with chilled water and a few ice cubes.

Even better is that this stuff contains added vitamins to help give you a bit of an energy boost, yet it's got hardly any calories in it! The bottle says there's only 6 calories per serving which I find unbelievable. This tastes nothing like a low calorie squash usually does!

If you haven't tried this yet, I highly recommend you do. It comes in a variety of great flavours including Peach, Orange, Strawberry and Kiwi, Apple and Blackcurrant, Summer Fruits, Tropical, Apple and Pear and Grapefruit. You can get some of the flavours in two litre bottles for £2.10 which makes it a bit more affordable too.

Summary: Six Stars
