Advantages: Great Tasting
Disadvantages: nothing!
I have been drinking robinsons squash for a long time now after switching from Ribena. I can't drink fizzy drink or much fruit juice so rely on squash instead.
My favourite robinsons flavour is the backcurrant and apple one or the apple and pear fruit and barley. Other flavours available from supermarkets are: Orange and pineapple, Orange, Summer fruits, and in Asda i've seen a new version called Strawberries and cream, but a bit scared to try it as it sounds very artificial.
I always buy the no added sugar one as i find the "normal" one too syrupy and sweet. I usually buy the squash in 1L size bottles but they've recently brought out the 1.7L bottle which are double concentrated, meaning you need less in your glass and the bottle should last you longer.
The 1L bottles are roughly £1.20 or currently 2 for £2 in sainsburys and the larger 1.7L double concentrate bottles are £3.49. I just pour a small amoung into a glass and fill the rest of the glass up with water.
The normal Blackcurrant and apple squash contains 22Kcal per serving and 4.9g sugar and the no added sugar version contains 5kcal per serving and 0.6g of sugar which is a big difference. It is ideal for people with diabetes or watching there weight!
In the summer months you can also make ice lollys from the squash, but you can to make them quite strong otherwise they will just taste like ice!
Summary: Will continue to buy
