Advantages: Ful of refreshing taste and flavour, good value for money, a little goes along way
Disadvantages: None at all, I can find no fault with this drink!
I recently did a review on Robinsons orange squash, I was really pleased with my purchase, especially as I normally buy the Tesco Value orange but on a trip to my local Morrison's store I found a deal on the Robinsons branded squash. I was really impressed with the quality of the brand and the taste of the drink, this was a good thing as I had also brought a bottle of the Summer Fruits no added sugar squash by Robinsons.
It was only quite recently that I had tried the Summer Fruits squash and I was stunned that I had not tried it before as it was such a lovely refreshing flavour. The bottle was brought in the 1 litre sized bottle just in case I did not like the brand of squash, that and the fact that I only have limited cupboard space. To buy the Summer Fruits squash in the 1 litre bottle you will pay just £1.00 but you can buy the bottle in larger 2 litre bottles for about £1.85 but with taste and room in my cupboards in mind I stuck with the smaller shaped one.
Robinsons is a brand that has been around for as long as I can remember and I guess this is partly what you are paying for, a brand name as opposed to the quality of the product. The squash comes in a recyclable plastic bottle and as this plastic is completely clear you can see the squash drink through it. I would describe the colour of the drink as being a pale pink colour, however I must point out that it does not stain your teeth or mouth in any way. The bottle comes with a blue lid at the top of it and you need to unscrew this to pour the squash out. There is a plastic rim around the bottle that needs to be removed and thrown away before you start. There is a paper abe around the centre of the bottle and this tells you all you need to know about the product. The main thing that I noticed when first looking at this label is that there is no added sugar in this drink and seeing as I really like drinking it then that is great. Robinsons also advertise that this makes their squash the perfect drink for all the family. As I previously mentioned the drink does not leave any stains or mark your teeth so I do think it is perfectly safe for children to drink.
The label has a picture of apples and cherries on the front and this is just some of the fruit that is included in the drink, there are apples, cherries, strawberries and raspberries so there is a great mixture included. On the back of the label is a full list of the ingredients as well as nutritional information and its important to note that the squash is free from artificial colours, flavours and sugars. When it comes to dispensing the drink it is really easy to pour from and in the centre of the bottle is a couple of what I would call groves so that you can grip the bottle better.
The fist thing that you notice when you go to drink this squash (Other than the colour!) is just how refreshing this drink is. One just the very first sip you instantly feel refreshed, there is such a lovely mixture of the juices that it leaves your pallet feeling fantastic. The drink itself has a very smooth texture and there is a slight smell of fruit but nothing to strong. I think the main fruits that you can taste in the squash are the strawberry and the raspberry, it really does have a summer like feel to it and I often add a couple of ice cubes to the drink just so that it is really icy cold!
You really do need just a small amount of this squash before diluting it and although my personal taste is possibly to have the squash slightly weaker than some I still think that you only will need a small amount before adding the water, it really is that full of flavour, to much and I think the drink will be that bit to sharp on your pallet! With this in mind I think that the price is fantastic and as a little goes along way then the drink will last you a great deal of time and therefore cost effective.

In summary, I am a really big fan of this product, it is such a tasty drink and as we are coming into the warmer summer months I think I will be drinking it more and more. The taste is fantastic and the drink does really leave you feeling really refreshed. I like that the drink is not to sweet and although it contains a variety of different fruits there is no overpowering sweetness to the drink.
I like that the drink is not too expensive and I have found that a little will go along way, you only need a small amount of the squash before you have to add the water.
I give this drink 5 out of 5 and highly recommend it.
Thank you for reading
