Brugal Rum is made and bottled on the island of the Dominican Republic, in the caribbean. The island is full of sugar cane plantations so no wonder they turn some of it into good use such as alcohol. The rum itself is a dark rum, and has quite a distinct sweet flavour, a little bit nicer than bacardi (to my taste becasue i don't like bacardi). It goes well with most mixers, especially coke, or it is really nice in a cocktail!!!! I was lucky enough to go to the Dominican Republic, and actually have a tour of the factory. It was a wonderful place and we (of course) brought a bottle to have when we got back to Britain, not that it lasted very long ... Read the complete review
