Advantages: Smooth, Light Flavour
Disadvantages: Expensive
Another great drink from the Anheuser-Busch company! Some of you may be wondering 'so whats the big deal about Ice, its exactly the same as the normal beer'. But this is not true, Bud Ice is different from normal Budweiser Beer in many ways. Firstly, whereas Budweiser beer is brewed using a beechwood aging process, Bud Ice is brewed differently. Although consisting of the same hops, rice and barley malt as normal budweiser, it is chilled just below freezing point until ice crystals begin to form in the beer. The specialised brewing process not only gives the beer a lighter colour, but also a unique smooth flavour and lighter texture. In my opinion the normal Budweiser beer is perfect for casual drinking, but the Bud Ice is better with food as it is lighter and less filling. it is particularly good with some food grilled to perfection on a hot barbeque. I have only one complaint to make to Budweiser - Please lower the price. I love the beer but the price is too high for the amount you get in comparison to other beers on the market. Otherwise a very good beer, Cheers Mate!

- 09/05/01 When I first tasted this about 6 years ago, it was like a lab experiment. The must have altered the process now, as it is extremely palatable. I agree with Waikie tho' - too bloody expensive. |
