Advantages: Refreshing beer thats great with a curry

Disadvantages: Not 'packed' with flavour

I have recently discovered a most wonderful drink known as lager beer. Now of course i have never heard of such a drink before as i am a chaste and pure young lad of virtue true....Ahh i cant keep up this charade.


I am a great lover of beer (im a lager man rather than a real ale fellow). Being an American beer, Budweiser isnt the strongest tasting lager i've ever had but having said that, it isnt devoid of flavour either.


I usually drink fosters or carling (mainly because moneys too tight to mention) but last night i got a few budweisers in. They're about £8-£9 for 8 440ml cans depending on where you go.


Budweiser has been produced since 1876 and claims to be the 'king of beers'. While i cannot agree with this assertion it has a pleasant taste that goes amazingly with a good curry.

Personally i prefer a nice Budvar which i believe is made using water drawn from polish wells (im not 100% sure about that) but what i am sure of is that Budvar is superior to Budweiser with a bolder, crisper taste.

Budweiser is 5% volume and the cans are quite decorative with a red and white colour scheme, Budweiser is scrawled over the can in a blue 'handwriting' style.

I definately reccomend this beer but if your willing to spend a bit more there are much better lagers out there.

Summary: A pleasant lager
