Bud fails to hit the heights (Budweiser Lager)

Advantages: Palatable lager

Budweiser is a palatable American beer. It`not to be over-rated however as it is very fizzy and doesn`t have the fresh crisp taste that many seem to think.
It is actually quite a dense tasting beer despite its fizz. I can drink about 4 bottles before feeling quite bloated. (Compare this to 4 pints of LCL the real "King of Beers").
I usually refer to this drink as "holiday beer", that is a lager that I will drink when I cannot get my favourite tipple.
The problem with Budweiser is that, outside of a supermarket, it is classed as a premium beer therefore you end up paying inflated prices for it.
Even in my local CIU club I would have to pay £2.80 for one 275ml bottle, 2 bottles of LCL would cost £2.40.
In summary, I would describe Bud as a "not unpleasant" drink but there are plenty of cheaper alternatives out there which cost a lot less.
Not so much as a King of Beers but a Jack of all lagers.
