So I slammed the door, ever so slightly too hard as I entered the bar. This went unnoticed and I was greeted by the usual Suffolk murmurings of "all right?"
"Ow'yergoin?" But I had a need, a real need and I was thrilled when I got the usual greeting from our barman. "Whatll it be then, cock?" Dilemma, a choice, not good late on a Friday evening with the rigours of work bearing down on my befuddled brain.

"A bud thanks, Neil"

"A Bud, you feeling all right?" You see my usual tipple is a little more meaty.

"A hard day, no worries though."

Parting with my £1.50 was less trouble than I thought, as I longed for the crisp dry taste to slowly wash down through my senses. I fully planned to follow the first with a few more.

"Ahhhhhh" was all that escaped my lips for a full minute "That is good"

I could feel the heat of the day starting to subside, The pressure of 8 hours of constant demands started to leave the confines of my body and I could feel relief start to wash me over like a welcome shower.

"Man, this Bud is good, Ill have another!"

Staring at my bottle I notice that Bud is brewed with rice as well as the usual stuff. "Is this why this lager tastes so refreshing?" I asked Neil, the font of all knowledge in the beer world.

"Yes that is the magic Bud touch, you have just experienced that Bud feeling of total refreshment and that is due to the rice, the temperature I keep them and the light brewing process that Budweiser put all their beer through." I remembered as he spouted that the bottle was ice cold and had a refreshing feel to it let alone taste.

It was then that I noticed that the regulars had started to pile into our little heaven on a Friday evening. Greetings flew around as if we were all someone else's prodigal sons. Hearty slaps and the ritual r
ound sharing began. Mine was always a Bud. I could not help but notice that each bottle managed to live up to the promise of the first.

I arrived home a little later, or to be slightly more accurate, a lot later. By this time I was feeling very refreshed. In fact I was so refreshed that I fell over twice on the way home. Lisa, a little cross was there waiting ever faithful and greeted me with warmth and compassion, or that is how it seemed in my state of refreshment.

"How many have you had?" Well judging by how refreshed I was and acknowledging that each bottle is 330 mls of 5% lager I came up with the highly scientific answer "Not much"

Brewed in the UK in Mortlake under licence from Anheuser-Busch Budweiser lager is available in various bottle sizes and pack sizes. The world famous and usual size is the 330ml brown long neck bottles, which go for £4.25 for a pack of 4 bottles or £7.98 for a pack of 10 bottles. Interestingly the shape of the neck of these bottles is part of the Bud experience. It delivers the right mix of beer and gas to add to the refreshing taste. I am not sure if this is fact but Budweiser lager always tastes better from the bottle so it may be true.
They are also available in larger 500ml bottles and smaller 207ml bottles. The premium lager beer is available in cans.

It is a truly refreshing break from the norm. Budweiser is a story in itself.

I'll just straighten myself up from laughing and then I can honestly sat that was well worth reading, I love lager, lager, lager - any - Bud, heineiken, carlsberg, fosters, kronenberg, Holsten Pils, castlemaine XXXX, but my favorite of all time is... the one,... the only,... king of premium lagers.... 'Stella Artois'!

Aga in, great op.
