Bulmers Pear Cider
------------------------

At a party of mine, my very close friend (...) forgot to get me a present, and after much apologies, gave me a bottle of Bulmers Pear Cider...

Packaging
--------------

I was rather put off, as it is a large, brown glass bottle with a traditional style cap. I don't drink beer, and had never tried cider, and having been so used to dainty vodka and mixers, I was rather tentative! The cap is covered in green foil with the Bulmers logo. The label is round, lime green with a black apple contataining the words 'Bulmer Pear', with picture of a couple of pears.

Smell and Taste
--------------------

Once opened, you're hit with a lovely smell; sweet, tangy cider, with a hint of pear... it is very refreshing, and very tempting!

The taste is sweet, crisp and refreshing yet wonderfully sweet aswell. It tastes like a naughty pear juice or something that a child would have... It's sweet and fruity, with the slight alcoholic taste. It also tastes distinctively cider-ish, but they just use pears instead. Which is good, because I have tasted some pear ciders that are very very fake. I always have mine ice cold, because I drink it slower, which prevents the sickness felt when drank to quickly! (which believe me, you will do, as it is soooo yummy!)

Size
------

You get a lot in the large bottle (568ml), but its perfect for limiting the amount you drink, as it will last you a while if you pace yourself a bit (which is hard, see above comment!)

Price
------

Somerfield but Asda sell it for £1.86 a bottle, but there are often offers such as 3 for £5. Although at pubs, they sell from about £3.20 - £4.

Overall
----------

I really enjoy this pear cider and have it as my chosen drink now at pubs and when chilling with mates. It's seriously lovely, and doesn't give me a banging headache in the morning! (but may give me stomach issues if I get too gluttonous!) Seriously reccomended.

I guess that shoddy forgetful friend isn't so bad after all!

Happy drinking!

Summary: YUM! that is all.
