It has been around since my childhood, when one slogan was 'Sleep Sweeter, Bournvita'. I love it! Bournvita has been my bedtime drink for longer than I care to remember. A deliciously smooth, soothing, relaxing drink like no other. Chocolatey without being cloying or too sweet. Made in seconds, it helps me to sleep - but for how much longer, I wonder? Why am I having such difficulty finding it now after all these years? Suddenly it seems that it is no longer stocked by my local Sainsburys, Tesco or Asda supermarkets, and with no apparent explanation. I've been in touch with Cadbury's and they tell me that their marketing department has decided to discontinue Bournvita. HOWEVER, they say that there is a chance it will be reintroduced and imply that this would be up to customer demand. So get writing to Cadbury or send them an email. I can't get hold of any in the Swindon, Wiltshire district. I see someone in another review says try Morrisons, but I do not know of a Morrisons near me, so will make enquiries for my nearest one. I have all my family and friends on the look out for me. I have tried another malted chocolate drink (Horlicks) but did not like it at all. For years and years my favourite bedtime drink was Cadbury Bournvita Malted Chocolate Drink, a delicious chocolaty drink that had a very smooth malty taste to it and really did help me relax and prepare for a good night's sleep. All of a sudden I found this drink very hard to find and had to hunt the shops to find one that sold it, then eventually I gave up looking for it because I was unable to find it anywhere. My family have been drinking Bournvita for many many years, my father who is in his late 70's has always have a mug of this delicious drink before he goes to bed every night. I was very upset when I went to my local supermarket and they did not have any on the shelf. It was only when I searched the web that I found out Cadbury have decided in their infinate wisdom to discontinue making this drink. Both my father and my husband have tried other drinks but nothing matches the distinctive flavour and taste that you get from Bournvita.
