Sorry for yet another hot chocolate review in the middle of summer (well, it's supposed to be summer, but I've not seen much evidence so far), but I do seem to be drinking it quite often recently. I had tried a few of the options sachets, when I noticed that there were also various flavours of Cadbury highlights available. I noticed there was a dark chocolate version, and as I adore dark chocolate I knew I had to try it. ~About the hot chocolate~ This hot chocolate is instant, meaning it is made just by stirring in hot water, rather than by using milk. They are low fat and low calorie, and contain artificial sweetener. It is available in ... Read the complete review

I think of hot chocolate made with milk as a luxury treat but for days when I want a less indulgent treat I have various sachets of instant (usually low fat) hot chocolate in my cupboard. I know the sachets work out slightly more expensive per drink tham the jars of hot chocolate but they are portable and allow me to have lots of different flavours of hot shocolate in to such my mood and taste at the time. At the moment i am on a diet and trying to lose close to five stone. I love chocolate and when i cant have it i feel really deprived and this usually ruins my dieting efforts. Cadburys Highlights Dark Chocolate drink is relatively new compared to other Highlights drinks and when i saw this flavour in Tesco i had to buy it! It promised less than fourty calories per cup so this worked out at only half a Weighwatchers point which is great! I followed the directions and weighed out the powder into a cup and filled it up with hot water. Instantly a rich ... Read the complete review

As a long time dieter and a serial sweet tooth i am no stranger to low cal hot chocolates. I used to have options but decided to try the cadbury highlights ones for a change. To be honest i didnt like the milk chocolate ones, too sweet and artificial tasting. I was attracted to the dark as i like dark chocolate. I know this sounds strange but if i eat any 'real' chocolate before drinking this it definately tastes artificial. But as chocolate is hard to come by on a diet i like that this sachet is not overly sweet. It tastes VERY chocolatey and almost leaning towards cocoa. You're supposed to pour on just hot water but i like a little splash of milk for a better taste. i ... Read the complete review
