Smells great - tastes average (Cadbury Highlights Fudge)

Just to clarify I tried the sachet version of this product (Asda 43p for 2 sachets) as it was on offer and I am trying to find tasty low cal instant hot chocolate.

The sachet provides enough mix for one average sized mug (2 to 3 teaspoons of powder) and all you have to do is add hot water and stir well. On adding the hot water there was a noticeable and strong smell of fudge which even my friend on the other side of the room could identify and the drink looks pleasingly chocolately. I couldn't drink it immediately due to the temperature but when I picked it up a couple of minutes later ther was some powder scum floating on top but nothing too unpleasant.

The drink definitely had a noticeable taste to it, although disappointingly it didn't taste as fudgy as it smelt and, although the packet claims it has 2x the chocolate, I wouldnt say it was very chocolately. Basically it tasted like a slightly artificially sweet chocolate drink. As Cadbury's Highlights hot chocolate doesn't normally taste full of artificial sweetner I would guess that this is the dairy fudge flavouring at work.

All in all the drink tasted fairly nice but I wouldn't rush out to buy a large jar as I don't think it lives up to its name or smell.

For those who are interested each sachet (11g) serving contains 40cals, 3.7g of sugars, and 1.3g of fat of which 0.9g are saturates.
