Hot chocolate drinking chocolate I remember it well.
Still a favorite.
After browsing the shelves in my local supermarket wanting something other than tea, I stumbled onto the classic drinking chocolate by of course Cadburys. It had been some time since I had bought this and could remember how good it tasted and that rich smell of chocolaty goodness coming out of the cup when it had been made. I promptly placed it into my basket and made my way to checkouts.
On getting home the shopping unpacked it was time for elevenzes. I reached for the tea caddy and stopped! no not today, today I would have some hot chocolate.
Putting a pan of hot milk to warm through on the top of my cooker I set about getting cups and biscuits ready.
Milk warmed through just right I add the hot chocolate and WOW!
The whole of the kitchen came alive with the rich chocolaty smell that pervaded from the pan, I could hardly contain myself to pour this rich mixture into the cups and take it through to the front room. You can of course make this with a water mix as well but I prefer it with pure milk.
Sitting down with my cup of hot chocolate I take in the smell again rich velvety and totally overpowering in a nice way.
The first sip was heaven just like I remembered it and then to the bottom of the cup. I was in ecstasy, totally made up for the day. MMMM.
Rich chocolate tasting drink made more memorable by the smell a big bonus for me.
I have used this chocolate powder in cakes too and they come out gorgeously.
