Advantages: tasty , warming , soothing

Disadvantages: no

In the winter months on a cold gloomy evening, or after being on playground duty on a cold frosty day, I often have a hot chocolate drink. Sometimes if I am feeling guilty about the calories I am consuming I opt for options a hot chocolate drink made by Twinning’s. Twinning’s have made Options lop calorie hot chocolate powders to make drink since 1986, Twinning’s also make ovaltine.

Options can be bought as a single pack of chocolate drink powder each one weighing 11g enough for a single drink or Options can be bought in a 220g plastic jar.
The individual packet are ideal for taking to work or to take on a nature conservation work party with a flask of hot water, easy to make when ever you fancy one .

Options come in a variety of chocolaty flavours Belgium, White chocolate, chocolate orange, chocolate hazelnut, toffee, vanilla and mint there are others too but this is just a selection.

Tesco sells these options individual packs for 22p; if you buy a jar it costs £2.34 for 220g. So it works out a lot cheaper per cup this way about 11.1/2 p per 11g cup. Mm perhaps I will not buy the individual pkts for work just take in a small jar or a couple of spoonfuls from my jar at home in a twist of foil.

Opening the chocolate pkt or jar you get a sweet smell withy as hint of the flavour.
I like the ordinary chocolate, the orange or mint chocolate best

To make one of these drinks up just open the foil pack empty it into a mug put 3 or 4 teaspoons of chocolate powder into mug from jar pour on boiling water and stir easy .

Now you need to let it cool till you drink it, or as I do at work due to lack of time to drink this otherwise add a little cold water or milk.

The taste is lovely a smooth chocolate taste, if you are drinking a flavoured one the taste is good not overpowering but compliments the chocolate flavour. These drinks are warming and satisfying, can be soothing to my soul after a cold play duty.
It is best if you keep the spoon with you and give an occasional stir as sometimes all the powder does not mix in but collects at the Bottom of the cup.

These drinks only have about 40 cal per cup; it varies minutely depending on the flavour of the chocolate drink. I would recommend these if you want a warm soothing creamy chocolate drink that does not have masses of calories in it this winter.

These drinks are not suitable for those with a dairy intolerance, but they contain no gluten, they do contain Aspartame, Do check the individual packs for nutritional allergy ingredients.

Thanks just off to make myself a cup strange how persuasive writing that opp was for me .
I somehow think dooyoo have made a mistake I can not find options made by cadbury but by twinnings who make ovaltine

Summary: low cal chocolate drink
