I tend to view Hot Chocolate drinks as a bit of an indulgent treat especially as in calorie terms they can be little different to eating an actual bar of chocolate however having discovered Options Belgian Choc at least I can indulge a little more often as compared with traditional drinking chocolates this product is about a third of the calories per mug and there is little or no compromise on taste in my opnion. Gven the recent cold spell there is nothing better than coming home to a nice steaming hot cup of drinking chocolate.


I paid just under £3 for my 220g jar of Options Belgian Choc, I forget the exact price but it was definately between £2.50 and £3 and the suggested serving mount is three teaspoons per cup however I find that I tend to use two and a bit as the product is very sweet to the taste and if you add too much it just ecomes sickly.

There is a lovely rich aroma that hits the nostrils when you add the water and stir it in, the drink itself has a nice dark colour to it. Ih has a wonderfully rich chocolate flavour as well and is so much better than some of the more insipid brands out there.

You do pay more than other drinking chocolate brands but the much lower calorie count and the nice taste means that this is my first choice when it comes to drinking chocolate.
