Cambell,s V8 100% Vegetable Juice.
Original..
This product was brought to my attention whilst scanning a diet and slim ming site, it was used as an ingredient of a home made soup, and I had never heard of it. and although I never did use it in soup recipe, after I had found it on the shelves in Asda, I thought it was a delicious way to get some goodness on a daily basis.
The ingredients of V8 original, are all vegetable based, with tomato at 87%being the main one, it also contains, carrot, celery and beetroot, parsley lettuce, and watercress also spinach with added spice extracts and salt.
Of course, the main taste is of tomato, but there,s something distinctly different about it. and maybe the ingredients dont appeal to everyone but if you like a savoury taste, this might be for you. Personally I love the taste and the fact that this great product also gives me one of my 5 a day, if I was to say anything against it then probably its the salt content, which comes in at 15% RDA
V8 Comes in strong cartoned 1lt packs, at a price of around £1.30 although we often find its on a good offer, and sometimes, its B.O.G.O.F, which is great because the juice has a long life and can be kept for months, we always have a small 150ml glass every day and straight from the fridge, its gorgeous.
As the carton says, its packed with beta-carotene, and a good source of vitamin A, but quite honestly, its hard to believe something so good for you can taste so b..r...i..l..l..i...a..n..t.
Summary: I LOVE IT
