Advantages: Tasty!

Disadvantages: needs more real juice and less sugar

I remember as a child when Capri Sun drinks first came onto the market. I was excited simply because they looked so different to all of the other drinks on the market. I would say that much is the same today. The uniques style of packaging for this drink is obviously a winner for children, it almost looks space age!

As an adult now, I regularly buy these drinks. I find that they are ideal to take as a packed lunch item and they are also cost effective. Poundland sells 5 of these for a £1 (no surprise there!) and Tescos (which is my local store) often sells thes drinks at 2 boxes of 5 for around the £1.40 mark.

The drinks are easy to store and stay cool throughout the day, perhaps this is due to the design of the packaging.

The capri sun orange flavour is tastier than the blackcurrant flavoured one as this often leaves a dry after taste. The orange one is sweet, but not too sweet as to leave a sugary coating on your teeth. As we grow ever more health concious, it is also worth noting that Capri sun are now producing just an orange juice version of their popular drink with no added sugars in.

The one down side to this drink is that it is only 200ml. This is just not enough for me, so I usually end up having two or three...for a child it will be an ideal size, but considering a can of drink is 330ml....this is a small portion.

There is good nutritional information on the side of the pack and importantly, I have never yet had one that didnt come with the straw attached! The straw has been cut so that it easily penetrates the packaging.

All in all a good lunch box treat.

Summary: A good value drink for your lunchbox

My granddaughters' like these. You know something, I've never checked the nutritional content and assumed there was more real juice in them than that!
