Pleasing Pouches!! (Capri-Sun Juice Drink)

Advantages: They are tasty, good for packed lunches and make great jubiless

Disadvantages: The pouches are easy to squeeze and cause a mess!

When in Junior school my mum always used to surprise me with my packed lunches. One of my surprises were Capri-Sun and I have loved them since.

Capri-Sun comes in various flavours but you can always find them in the same style bag. A thick foil pouch that either has a straw attached to poke into the foil covered hole at the top or the newer versions (and larger pouches) come with a screw off cap which makes these alot more convenient.

My favourite flavours have to be Summer Berries or Apple & Blackcurrant but you can buy them in others including Orange. You can even buy them in multipacks in larger supermarkets.

I bought two in my local newsagents the other day to quench my thirst at home.

My first one was the smaller straw poke pouch in Summer Berries flavour. This was my smaller pouch being 200ml.

The front of the packet is decorated in bright red strawberries, raspberrys and darker berrys too! The pouch itself is mouthwatering. I unwrapped my straw and poked it into the hole at the top - this is where you have to be careful not to squeeze the pouch as the drink will squirt out and cause a mess lol! This juice is so tasty and thirst quenching it was so easy to just suck it up in one, maybe two sucks. It's so similar to a fruit squash but a higher quality, it's very fruity and sweet and makes a stunning drink on those hot summer days and it really cures a hungry thirst.

For convenience however that day I bought the second pouch as it had a screw top, allowing me to secure my drink within when I had finished rather than having to drink my drink in one go! This pouch was a little larger at 330ml and was apple and blackcurrant flavour. The front of the pouch is decorated in apples cut in halves and plenty of blackberries and again looks so appealing. I unscrewed my cap and took a swig and really enjoyed the fruity blackcurrant flavour. Once finished enjoying my fruity juice I screwed the cap back on to save some for later.

No matter what flavour you have I find them all alot tastier and refreshing after being kept in the fridge it makes them alot more refreshing and intense flavourwise. Another thing all the flavours have in common is on the front of the pouches it says 'Made with Natural Juice'.

No matter the flavour of the juice they are incredibly tasty and fruity, as well as being sweet.

These are perfect for lunchboxes, for the older children anyway who know not to squeeze the pouch lol! As well as being brilliant for day trips, especially the ones with a cap! I especially love these in the summer to pop in my freezer, oh yes you know I'm talking about jubilees, them treats that both children and adults love! Once frozen just cut the top off and they make perfect ready made fruity jubiless! Yum!
