Advantages: Great taste

Disadvantages: Addictive and unhealthy

The first thing I must say about this lovely beverage, Capri Sun, is that if you live near a One Stop, please go there now - these are on offer with two packets of five drinks going for £2! Absolute bargin considering the usual price!

Capri Sun, in many ways, typifies not only the British summer, but for me, a certainly nostalgia of my childhood - I fondly remember opening these drinks and sucking down the whole pack in one go! The multipack versions operate by being punctured by a straw, but I've noticed that the single versions are now generally operated by a twist-cap, presumably for safety reasons (might explain why One Stop are selling the mutlipacks so cheap!)

The packets are 200ml each, meaning they go very quickly, not to mention that they are insanely addictive! I've ploughed through 4 or 5 in a few hours quite frequently, and whilst the flavour is delicious and the taste thirst-quenching, they are obviously loaded with calories and some sugar, so they're not the healthiest drink around.

Still, if you're hanging out in the sun, there are few drinks (save for perhaps an ice cool beer) that is as much an antidote to the baking sun as this. They really do evoke the Summer fun with their playful and colourful packaging design, although I do warn that inserting the straw into the packet can be a little more difficult than it looks sometimes - and never attempt it when drunk, or you will just get soaked in the stuff!

Delicious but addictive, you may well plough through the calories without even really realising thanks to the delicious, thirst-quenching taste. However, if you're got a family, I thoroughly recommend buying the multipacks, both for sake of cost, and the fact you can spread the calories around a bit!

Summary: Addictive but delightful

Artificiality springs to mind.
