 ... Where as we in Europe like to enjoy it with nothing added (well most of us do), it's common in South Africa to add some sugar or even milk. It's common to state in a food/drink review that the product is like a certain yeast extract based food product produced in Burton-Upon-Trent, you either love it or hate it, I don't think rooibos is quite so polarising. Please note my review is about Rooibos tea in general! ======================================= I love tea and coffee, it's rare to see me at work or at home without a warm cup in my hand. But I do like to have some variety from time to time, and all those flavoured teas are just nasty and bitter and only have a hint of a smell of what they claim to contain. I bought this tea on a whim. Its caffeine free but does contain some tannin. You can drink it red, or with milk and sugar - I have tried all ways and it all works. It has a strong, quite savoury flavour and has to be consumed while hot - cold it really doesn't taste very good. Brewing takes about the same time as normal tea. According to the packet, you can also use the tea as a base for stews and soups. I haven't tried this yet, but I can see how it could work. If you like trying new teas, give this one a go, it has a curious taste but it makes a nice change.
