Advantages: Good for you, smells good

Disadvantages: Tastes horrible

Clipper is a brand that I hadn't tried before today. I haven't been feeling too great, in fact I've been off work all week, and I've resorted to herbal remedies to try and settle my viollently complaining tummy (sympathy please!). One thing I will say is that Clipper Organic White Tea With Lemon (and breathe) is a prime example of how something can smell good and taste disgusting.

Okay, so it's light and refreshing and is a natural source of ingredients, apparently, adn I'll grant that when you boil the water and pour it into a mug with one of the 25 bags from the box in, the smell is a soothing lemony smell. There is also an undercurrent of something else there, and once you taste itm the lemon is weak and the undercurrent taste turns out to be similar to Green Tea, which is something that I generally don't like.

Perhaps it is more a herbal flavour that I am assuming here tastes of Green Tea. The aroma is still nice even after a while, and there is a surprising contrast between the flavour and the smell. I don't doubt the quality of the product, the means by which is was created, and the fact that it is organic. Equally, I don't doubt that it is good for you. I know white tea is supposed to have good properties for clearing out your bowels, if you know what I mean, moreso than Green Tea, but even so, I need something that's going to taste nice otherwise it becomes a chore and not a comfort. If I want something to fix me that tastes horrible, I can get that from the doctor!!!

You get 25 tea bags, foil fresh and resealable in a box. It should cost you somewhere in the region of £1.50, which isn't so bad when you compare it with other brands and flavours with similar herbal properties. Still, I probably wouldn't get this one again. It's more my wife and my mother in law who have these drinks. Maybe next time I'll leave their drinks alone. I'm gonna grab myself a cup of coffee!

Summary: Quality herbal tea with a yuck taste
