Can a Yank drop in here and give an opinion? I purchased a bottle of Clontarf tonight in a liquor store in the very middle of the USA. I wanted to try something different. Clontarf is sweeter than I expected. I don't like a sweeter drink, except rum. Here in the middle of the country, we have Jameson, Bushmills, Tullamore Dew, Powers, and - my favorite - Knappogue Castle. I won't diverge to praise Knappogue Castle and Powers. Clontarf is great with Coca-Cola but seems too sweet for drinking straight. Someday, I hope to visit Ireland and sample all the fine whiskeys there. Thanks. ... Read the complete review

very smooth black label - Advantages: very smooth, no bad after taste, good intro to black labels - Disadvantages: very smooth, hard to find, very easy to drink
