Advantages: No sugar, 0.5 calories per 100ml, tastes good.

Disadvantages: A bit expensive if you buy a single serve bottle

I don't drink a lot of coke, but occasionally I fancy a tipple! As we all know, regular coca-cola has a startling amount of sugar in it as well as Lord only knows how many other nasties. Now I'm not saying Coca-Cola Zero is without it's nasties, but it is minus the calories, so it's six of one and half a dozen of the other as it were.

A 500ml bottle cost me 89p at my local petrol station. It is possible to buy cans and multi-packs. if you bought a few cans you would probably get the price down to about 25p per can. The packaging is much like all other Coca-Cola bottles and cans, but the 'Zero' version is distinguished by a black label and black lid. I am guessing this reflects the fact that there is nothing in it!...black hole, emptiness etc. (this is only my analysis of the psychology behind it)

So, the important but, the taste. I think Coca-Cola haver done a good job here. I always think diet drinks have too much of an artificial sweetener after taste. With this drink it is far less noticeable. I prefer it to diet coke and to pepsi max.

The sneaky thing is.....it's not really Zero!!! A 500ml bottle has a whole 2.5 calories, but nothing of anything else...a big fat zero and a trace of sodium. I think I can live with the 2.5 calories.

Summary: Definitely different from other diet colas.

So, is the difference between this and diet coke is because it has zero (well, almost zero :-) ) calories?
