Zero Sugar, but way nicer than Diet Coke. (Coca Cola Zero)

Advantages: Tastes authentic but without sugar, easily obtainable, snazzy packaging.

Disadvantages: Artificial sweetners, untrustworthy chemicals.

I think the point of this product was that it would much more closely resemble Coca Cola regular than Diet Coke does (I have seen some reviews which say they can't see the point in Diet Coke and Coke Zero - trust me, Diet Coke is horrid, thin and artificial tasting) and be without sugar. I would agree that it does somewhat achieve this goal, it is not the spitting image taste-wise of Coca Cola regular, but it certainly is much nicer tasting than Diet Coke.

I love the Coca Cola Zero packaging, being a sucker for packaging myself. I know some people don't give a rip about the packaging and think that it's all about the product, and perhaps that is a more logical philosophy. Personally I like to take in the product in it's entirity and I think the black and white label is really snazzy and cool. Coca Cola Zero is available in small bottles, large 2L bottles and in cans, and is easily obtainable, being stocked at all major supermarkets, corner shops and good drinks retailers.

The product is marketted as being free from sugar, and this has to be a good thing right? My only concern is the artificial chemicals and sweetners that must be added as a substitute. I am no expert on aspartame, but I know that the majority of people I speak to seem to swear that it causes cancer if consumed in excessive quanitities. I suppose the way I think of it is don't drink Coke very often, and if you do, drink Coke Zero. I think then, as long as you eat your brocoli, it probably is unlikely to give you cancer (I hope!) and you also miss out on the excessive calories that normal coke would put over to you. I love the taste of Coke Zero frankly, and I am happy to drink it as a substitute for regular Coca Cola.

Try it anyway, see what you think. Certainly I think it's a great concept, and hopefully you'll enjoy the drink as much as I do.

Summary: I like it, I think in general it's a likeable product.
