Advantages: Best tasting juice ever
Disadvantages: The damage it can cause
My favourite juice of all time is coca cola (coke) , I have been drinking coke for a long time now , since I was about 8 years old and I am 28 now. When I was younger I would drink a couple of tins per day, up until 3 years ago I would drink a couple of bottles per day, now it is only a few bottles per week.
Coke is absolutely the best tasting juice ever (well to me it is.) When I am out I always buy a small bottle of coke, for years my family and friends have been telling me things about coke like for instances the dammage it can cause to your teeth or it is addictive or the amount of sugar in it, etc, (this didnt annoy me as I have a sweet tooth) , but I never paid any attention to anything they said and I carried on drinking coke.
One day when brushing my teeth I noticed a hole in one of my front teeth (well it actually looked as if my tooth was wearing away.) I pushed it to the back of my mind and after that I didnt pay much attention to it. After a few months I couldnt help but to pay attention to it, the hole had got much bigger. Up until this point I always had good teeth, or so I thought.
So I made an appointment with my dentist, he checked my teeth and to my horror he said that I needed over a £1000 pound of work done and he would have to get the treatment approved, before he could carry out any work , needless to say I agreed to have the treatment carried out as soon as it was possible.
He asked me one question and that was "do you drink any fizzy juice"?
my reply was "yes coke" he replied "if you carry on drinking coke or any other fizzy juice for that matter, in 10 years time you will have no teeth". I was totally shocked as I never believed the dammage it could cause and here I was sitting in the dentist with all the proof I needed.
So from that day I started to cut down on my intake of coke, (with great difficulty) I absolutely adored the stuff and still do, but I knew I had to either stop drinking coke or reduce my intake right down. I still drink coke and love it as much as I ever did, but I just dont drink as much now. I would never have believed the damage it does cause, only I seen it for myself.
I have also done this review on Ciao.co.uk
Thanks for reading
Summary: Although coca cola tastes great, it can still cause damage to teeth etc

- 28/08/09 =\ i've heard some people use it to shine toilet bowls, so those acids and things inside it really must be deadly for teeth |
