Advantages: Great taste, very refreshing, great as a mixer.
Disadvantages: High in calories and sugar considering it's just a drink!
Coca-Cola is a worldwide brand which is available in many variations but I am a fan of the original and this is what my review is based on.
The product is available in several sizes: 250ml, 330ml, 500ml, 1.5l, 2l & 3l varieties and is also available as a draught drink in some pubs/bars which is quite unusual in the UK as most places have Pepsi on draught.
The 2 litre bottle is the one that I have and it's just a standard plastic bottle (can be recycled where facilities exist - 90% of the UK at present) which is clear and has a red plastic cap. It has a red label and lots of information about the Coke Zone which is the latest promotion designed to make you buy more Coca-Cola (It's working on us!).
Coca-Cola is quite high in sugar and calories and I tend to see this as a nice treat which should be enjoyed as a mixer or as a nice refreshing drink on a hot summers day (or even Spring!) with lots of ice. The taste is very refreshing and this is definitely delicious served chilled. The coke contains lots of fizz upon opening so be sure that you don't shake it up beforehand or you will get covered in it's spray (no smutty comments please!).
My only gripe with Coca-Cola really is the coating of sugar that my teeth seem to be left with afterwards and I always find myself reaching for the toothbrush not long after I've finished drinking the bottle! (Good job I enjoy it in moderation).
There are 105 calories and 26.5g of sugar per 250ml serving so 1 litre would see you going over your guideline daily recommend allowance of sugar just for a drink! Now and again this is acceptable but if you want to enjoy a nice refreshing product without so many calories or so much sugar then I would recommend Diet Coke.
Coca-Cola is available in supermarkets for various prices and the 2 litre bottle is on offer 2 for £2.70 in Tesco but I paid £1.71 from my local corner shop (Well... I'm lying! Actually my other half brought it as a treat!
I am rating this product 4/5 and have knocked off one star for the sheer amount of sugar the product contains.
Summary: A delicious treat which contains a ton of sugar (not literally!)
