Advantages: Great taste

Disadvantages: Too fizzy at times

Coca Cola is surely one of the most well-known products on Earth - it is consumed in virtually every country, and has become a cultural symbol to the extent that Coca Cola even paid for Father Christmas to be coloured red and white rather than the original green and white!

Also, it is forever associated with the "co-co-Communism" of worldwide politics, displaying that even in communist countries, Coca Cola is one of the few products that penetrates through any sort of lexicon, be it political or otherwise. To some, though, it does remain a symbol of the overpowering presence of capitalism.

As for the drink itself which, let's face it, is by far the most important thing detailed here, it's famous for its fizzy and distinctive taste, and a recipe and construction that is a secret (although, of course, they are legally mandated to state all of the ingrediants, just not the amounts). It's fair to say that it's also not too healthy for you, and the taste is simply too harsh and acerbic for some. Even for me, who loves Coca Cola, I have to admit that I've had my fair share of nose-burning moments, where this lovely carbonated drink is just too much. That said, there are few drinks that are as effective in quenching your thirst and cooling you down on a hot Summer's day.

Despite being a "premium" product of the first rate, Coca Cola surprisingly isn't too expensive - the small bottles tend to retail for about 80p, but you can frequently come across details in stores like WHSmith where it's 2 for £1.40. Also, the large 2-litre bottles can frequently be found in supermarkets for £1 each, which is an absolute steal. Although too harsh for some, Coca Cola is a cool and refreshing drink that has an enduring popularity that will likely last for centuries.

Summary: A refreshing drink for the Summer
