Advantages: It's a world wide trusted product with a unique taste.
Disadvantages: Diet version is not as good as diet Pepsi.
~ Overview ~
Basically this is the most popular brand of fizzy cola in the world with the likes of Pepsi and Rolla Cola right behind. This is my favourite tasting flavour of cola, and you can normally taste the difference between Coca Cola and the brand from your local supermarket (Polar Cola for example).
~ My Opinion ~
In my opinion I prefer my Coca Cola to be served by naked ladies, in hot weather and served in an icy cold glass bottle as I believe you get a better taste. The best tasting Coca Cola I have had was in Egypt at the Hilton Hotel in Luxor and it just tasted so much better than the stuff you get in plastic bottles.
I tend to drink more diet coca cola these days as it can put a lot of weight on you if you drink a litre a day and it also contains so much sugar (you want to see my grans teeth!).
~ Taste & Smell ~
I personally think the secret ingredient in coca cola is some type of plant from mars that the rover has brought back or something along those lines. Seriously though the taste is very tasty and I personally think it has a twinge of cherry in there but who knows.
If you're looking for something that has a nice after taste then this will satisfy your taste buds. (It's buddilicious).
It smells like coke really, smells a bit like liquorice with a hint of something fruity. Very nice!

~ Price and Location ~
I tend to buy Coca Cola whenever it is on offer at Sainsbury's, Tesco's or Asda but it varies which supermarket I shop at depending on where it is on offer. At the moment I buy my Coca Cola from ASDA (two 1.25L bottles - Diet or normal Coca Cola) for around £1.50 for two, not bad considering that a small bottle of Coca Cola normally costs around 90p.
~ Interesting Facts ~
* The fizzy drink was first introduced in 1886 and originates from the USA
* The first Coca Cola recipe was invented in a drugstore in 1885 in Georgia.
* In 1985 the formula of the drink was changed to a newer tasting coke, but due to public backlash the company gave in and reverted back to the older formula.
* The original glass bottle design was created in 1915 by Earl Dean
* The Coca Cola formula contained nine milligrams of cocaine per glass, but was later removed in 1903 (I wonder why?).
* The exact recipe of Coca Cola is still a famous trade secret (Hence that is why we have Rolla Cola)

~ Recipe ideas for all types of Coca Cola ~
Check the below link out (very interesting):
http://www.thecoca-colacompany.com/heritage/recip es.html
Can be used to create vanilla cream, smoothies, French onion soup (what?), Coca Cola Chicken, Cola Cake. Its Garlic bread all over gain I hear myself say. I have tried some of the recipes and they are excellent, try them and see!
~ Conclusion ~
This is a product which can be trusted by most people all over the world and has been around a long time. Whenever I think of this brand I cannot help but sing "holidays are coming" from the Christmas adverts.
The product itself either diet or normal flavours are unique and no rolla cola tends to come close. I do prefer my Coca Cola chilled and the weather has to be really hot for me to get the maximum pleasure from my glass of Coca Cola.
If you shop around you will get a good deal and if you don't gulp it down will last you a couple of weeks depending on how much Coca Cola you buy.
Recommendable: Yes
My Rating: 5/5
Summary: A classic product, with a secret recipe, great for parties and socialising!

- 19/09/09 Can you please come and project manage me please. I have had numerous project managers in recent years and you just made me laugh more than all of them put together.
Unfortunately I am diabetic and have to stick to Coke Zero. If I close my eyes real tight, its almost the same.
Almost. |
