Coca Cola or Coke as most of us all call it is a classic fizzy drink and it is known all over the world.
I personally think that it is quite addictive. Whenever I go away on holiday I always crave Coke, nothing else, just Coke. I don't really know why but I do.
It has a strong distinctive taste and if you have other forms of this type of drink (stores own, pepsi, etc) you can easily tell the difference between them.
It is quite often on offer in supermarkets and now Coca Cola offer points too known as coke zone points that you can collect and put towards various rewards, from competition entries to ipod sleeves to HMV vouchers.
Coke can be bought in a variety of different sizes and forms. You can buy it in 2 litre bottles, small bottles for on the go, cans, you can have it on tap at a pub, and in some places you can buy it in glass bottles.
Coke often run competitions, these normally run in line with sporting competitions where you can win tickets to them, for example the Olympics or the World Cup. This is because they sponsor these events, which show what a big brand they are. They are also the chosen suppliers of cola type drinks at McDonalds, one of the biggest fast food chains in the world.
The drink itself is a dark brown colour and is very fizzy when drank fresh. It is best served ice cold (unless of course you have sensitive teeth).
I used to do a lot of open water swimming and when we finished we were often given a can of coke. We were told this was in case we had swallowed any dirty water it helped flush out our system! I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing!
Everybody always recognises the coke adverts that play at Christmas. Some people say they know it's Christmas time when they have seen the first Christmas Coca Cola advert. These have Santa Claus on and show him wearing red. It was infact Coca Cola who made us think Santa wears red due to these adverts. Recently Coca Cola have tried doing some adverts during summer time too which have been quite clever adverts.
Summary: Biggest selling fizzy drink in the World
