Fly with the Blue Bird (Coniston Bluebird Bitter)
Member Name: Bryn Pearson
Advantages: This is a great drink, and a real incentive for climbing over fells. Disadvantages: Not easy to get outside of the Lake district.
I am a big fan of this beer, but unfortunatly it isn't one that you can just get anywhere - a comman problem with many of the great real ales in the UK. The Coniston Blue Bird is a great feature of visiting Coniston, and just the sort of drink you want when you've just come down from climbing the Old Man. Refreshing, smooth and very moorish, one of the biggest problems is resisting going back for another pint. You can get gift packs including bottles and glasses to take away, and these make a wonderful present, if you can bear to part with them. Beers are very much down to individual taste, and describing them in words is seldom easy. However, I have yet to find someone who does not like Blue Bird, and its reputation is widely known which is as good a recomendation as you could get. It's well worth going to the lake district just to be able to find this excellent beer in the pubs. Summary: |

Very refreshing, tastes like flowers
Corona Extra - Superb Lager!
Chocolate Flavoured beer the mind boggles
I found this to be a very good product, rehydrating me a lot faster than water.
Might as well just grin and pear it
Goodnight and sweet dreams!
