Little taste and not filling (Coors Light)

Notice the "Light" in the name of this beer. That is what you are getting for sure. Light on calories, light on taste. Quite frankly, this beer is terrible.

The last time I had this beer was in November of 2008, and hopefully that will be the last time. I was at a party, and forgot to bring my own beer, so I was stuck drinking this. The taste, or lackthereof, is still in my mind.

Honestly to me, all light beers taste similar to me. They are all macro-brewed using the same hops and malts, and most likely the same amount. The war between bud light, miller lite, and coors light is similar to the pepsi vs coke wars. Pepsi and coke are similar, but do have some differences, and the three beers listed are in the same boat.

Out of the 3, coors light is definetly the lighest of the beers. It has the least taste and the least carbonation. Because of this, it goes down very smooth, kind of like water. I will admit though, the color is a nice light golden straw color, what an American-style light lager should be. Sadly, it has very little head that dies quickly.

The only thing I like about Coors light is the packaging. The bottles have the "code blue" feature to it. When the bottle is at the optimum temperature to be consumed, the mountains on the bottle turn blue. This makes it easy to tell when it is at the right temperature.

As for the cans, they have the wide mouth feature for a smooth pour. The hole to drink out of is a lot wider than other cans, so it makes it easier to get a faster and smoother pour, whether it be directly into your mouth or into a can.

Over the past 2 years, I have consumed over 180 different beers. I typically like beers with FLAVOR and BODY, and stay away from the American-style light lagers. Most people call me a "beer snob", but I just know what good beer is and will not settle for drinking this garbage.

However, if you do like light beers with little taste that don't fill you up, try a coors light!
